I Don't Have Rose Gold Accessories

I said my life isn't perfect but I think I got that wrong.

I may not have a home that people aspire to, I haven't got rose gold accessories in my kitchen or underfloor heating in my bathroom but I do have 3 amazing kids and I am married to my best friend.

Yes I have got the worst luck in the world, I know everyone says this but I really do have, I'm going through some horrible health problems at the moment but just because I don't have material things to swoon over I still do have a perfect life.

Don't let stuff get you down because it is just stuff. If you have love then you have everything.

Scrapbook Haul

For the past few months I have been bullet journalling on and off, I found loads of videos on YouTube for inspiration also posts on Pinterest. I'm rubbish at keeping up with doing things but I have been a bit more into it the past couple of weeks.  I have decided to make it into a scrapbook/journal type thing.

So me and Lily went to The Range today and bought some papers and pens to make my journal a bit more interesting.

My sister draws and she uses Promarkers so I thought I would start with a few pastel colours and build up my collection.  These were £1.99 each.

Below is a range of Santoro scrapbooking items.  I bought envelopes, a stamp and a pack of papers.

I am usually rubbish at doing these things because it never comes out the way I envisage it but I'm going to make maximum effort with it and I will  write a post about it once I've started

Also I'm looking at getting our photos printed on to polaroid type photos from a website called photobox.co.uk.  They are 30p each and at the moment you can get 30% off your purchase.

My Life's Not Perfect

I've been wanting to start a blog and You Tube channel for such a long time but I've been so nervous about it because my life's not perfect!

You see these successful You Tubers and they have beautiful houses and perfect make up, I felt like I couldn't compete (not that it's a competition).  But I've got to a point in my life where I think sod it, I'm going to be open and honest and if people don't like the way my life is then that's not my problem.

I wanted to start a blog that's real, real life, real problems, real family.

So that's us, at my sister in laws house back in the Autumn.  That's me with the big arms and glasses, my husband James with the greying beard and our 3 kids. Owen is on my lap, Morgan with the silly look on his face (can never get a serious picture of him!) and Lily the beauty queen.

We all live in a rather small 3 bedroom council house in a not so perfect part of town but we've never had any trouble and once our door is shut the world is out there and we're inside.

I am currently looking for work, I've had a few health problems lately (I will explain in a separate post) so I've been taking a break to give myself a rest but I do run an online business part time.  James is a forklift truck driver for Unipart Jaguar.  Lily has finished college and is looking for an apprenticeship, she's had a few interviews so waiting for calls back. Morgan is in year 8 at the local high school and loves gaming.  Owen is in year 6 at the same high school and also loves gaming (what boys don't!).
